Ernest "Rei" Nyamasyo

Grisha Seme

Nyamasyo, our Editor-in-Chief, grew up with wildlife and is passionate about conservation and sustainable tourism. The travel bug bit him early in life and he has lived in – and traveled extensively to – all corners of Kenya. Well known and respected for his vast knowledge of the African bush, Rei has been planning, and leading safaris on and off for over 12 years and is a committed conservationist with a passion for birds. He speaks English, Swahili, and Russian, and is conversant in Spanish.

Grisha or simply Grish, is our Head of Logistics and specializes in going ‘off-the-beaten-track’ as far as safari itineraries go. Passionate about far-flung exotic destinations, Grisha’s curiosity in the wild started at an early age, and he has over 11 years of experience in leading long-haul group safaris. Going by the mantra “It’s rough, it’s dusty, but it’s a safari“, Grish is fluent in English, Swahili, Russian, and Turkish languages. When not in some remote wilderness somewhere, he contributes to this blog… (sometimes).
